Honor and Netflix joined forces for the Honor 8X!

Honor has sought partnership with leading video streaming service Netflix for the coming Honor 8X update. The new update will provide pre-installation of the Netflix app and will make 1080p Full HD streaming available for the handset. The changes will take place with the coming November 2018 update.

“Through this Honor-Netflix partnership, the theatre has become mobile — traveling with users. Our fans can discover something new and amazing by watching from their Honor 8X smartphones,” an Honor executive said in a statement.

The new update will supposedly make more high-end contents available for the Honor 8X. They even plan to add Netflix shortcut on the home screen for an even closer integration. The new update will also give one month free Netflix access to Honor 8X users.

“Honor is always determined to provide exceptional capabilities and experiences. By partnering with Netflix, we have once again brought the most cutting-edge technology, features, and style to value-minded consumers.”

The Honor 8X comes with 6.5-inch FullView display, with Full HD+ resolution. Powering the handset is a Kirin 710 SoC, with either 4 or 6GB of RAM and 64GB/128GB internal storage. There’s a dual rear-facing camera. The primary is a 20MP f/1.8 sensor, supplemented by a 2MP depth sensor. The selfie shooter is 16MP with f/2.0 aperture and support for 1080p Full HD video recording at 30fps.
