OPPO’s former sub-brand, Realme, has promised Android Pie update for its existing devices. The company didn’t give a specific timeline when the update is rolling out but assured that it should come as early as Q1 of 2019.
Realme CEO for India, Madhav Sheth, also took Twitter to announced that not only the 2 Pro will be getting Android P but also features like slow-motion video recording and unlocked bootloader is also coming in the next update. Sheth also confirmed that even the Realme 1 will receive an update to unlock the bootloader.
Furthermore, Realme 2 will be receiving its ColorOS 5.2 update at the end of December. As mentioned, all existing Realme devices will get Android P next year. Realme 2 included. This is very impressive coming from an affordable non-Android One device.
