Samsung is now rolling out a new software update for the US Unlocked Galaxy Note 8 that brings the August 2018 security update. The new update carries build number N950U1UES5CRG9.
Samsung devices are not the best when it comes to software updates. However, the OEM does make sure that its flagship lineup is updated regularly. While other devices like Google Pixel and Essential Phone are now getting the September 2018 security patches, Samsung, on the other hand, has just started rolling out August security patches for the Samsung Galaxy Note 8.
The update is now being pushed over-the-air and should be reaching out to the devices over the next couple of days. The OTA weighs about 53.68 MB and should support any US Unlocked Galaxy Note 8 on the following carriers – Verizon, Nextech/C-Spire, T-Mobile, Sprint, AT&T, Bluegrass Cellular, Virgin Mobile USA, Tracfone, and more. As told before, this new update carries August 2018 security patches that fix several vulnerabilities within the Android system and framework.
