While no date has yet been disclosed, we have been expecting Xiaomi to unveil a new device this year. The upcoming smartphone, which ought to be called the Pocophone F1, has made some appearances before, confirming its existence. Now, to strengthen the rumors, the Pocophone F1 (listed as POCO F1) has appeared on the AnTutu benchmark today, as the screenshots revealed.
The device has scored 285,302 on the Chinese benchmarking site. POCO F1’s score has even smashed the records of some of the latest flagship smartphones like the OnePlus 6. This performance can be attributed to the use of the Snapdragon 845 SoC, which has been powering most flagship Androids today.
Last month, Xiaomi’s gaming smartphone, the Black Shark has topped AnTuTu’s 10 best-performing smartphones. It not only beat the Samsung Galaxy S9/S9+ in the ranking but beat it the hard way. By six lapses to be exact. Even the newer releases such as the OPPO Find X and Vivo NEX has only managed to claim the second, and third spot respectively. As for the Pocophone F1, some suggests that the performance boost is not only ascribed to the Snapdragon 845. But also the liquid cooling system and some software and hardware optimization done by Xiaomi.
