And just like with previous OnePlus phones, the OnePlus Nord stock wallpapers are now available for download in 2K, 4K, and Never Settle versions. The collection includes a total of 2 wallpapers designed by none other than sir Hampus Olsson.

In the past few months, several rumors and leaks were making the rounds for a new and more-affordable smartphone by OnePlus, allegedly known as the “OnePlus Z”. If not all, most of these rumors have turned out to be true as OnePlus finally unveiled the OnePlus Nord through the first-of-its-kind AR smartphone reveal.

Before you head to the download links, let us take a quick peek at what this new mid-range smartphone from OnePlus has to offer.

About the OnePlus Nord

OnePlus Nord

When OnePlus began its journey back in 2014 with the OnePlus One, it had a clear motive of delivering best-in-class hardware with a notable design, all at an affordable price point. Over the years, the company evolved with phones that became flagship-killers, but at an increased price point with each release. Take this year’s OnePlus 8 & OnePlus 8 Pro as examples. Both the phones not only outshine the competition but are also priced very similarly.

With the OnePlus Nord, the company is now back to ruling the mid-range/affordable smartphone market. The phone pretty much offers everything you’d expect from a flagship, be it the hardware specs or fluid software experience, but at a much lower price point.

Starting off with the dimensions, the OnePlus Nord is nothing but a younger sibling to the OnePlus 8 in terms of design. The height is just 1.9mm shorter at 158.3 mm compared to 160.2 of the OP8. The phone offers a curved glass back just like the OnePlus 8, with the only difference being the camera module being placed on the left, instead of the center. It’s all still held in place with a metal chassis.

The phone’s charm surely comes from its colors. The Blue Marble variant offers very similar aesthetics as the Glacial Green color of the OnePlus 8, offering an iridescent shine that changes colors when viewed from different angles.

On the display front, the OnePlus Nord features a 6.44-inches Fluid AMOLED panel with a whopping 90 Hz refresh rate. It also supports sRGB & Display P3 for the most vibrant and accurate colors. The display is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 5 to ensure complete protection from damage caused due to accidental drops.

The dual selfie camera on the front is enclosed inside a pill-shaped punch-hole design on the top-left of the display. That’s definitely a first from OnePlus.

Coming down to the most anticipated part of any modern smartphone, the camera. The phone offers a quad-camera lens setup on the rear, with a 48MP Sony IMX586 primary lens (sarcastically stolen from the OnePlus 8), a 2MP macro lens, an 8MP ultra-wide lens, and a 5MP depth sensor.

On the front is a dual-lens setup, the first from OnePlus, with a 32MP  Sony IMX616 sensor and an 8MP ultra-wide-angle lens with a 105° field-of-view. The front camera also supports shooting 4K videos at 60 FPS, something you wouldn’t find on a device with this price-tag.

Performance & Battery

OnePlus Nord is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 765G processor that supports 5G, with up to 12 GB of LPDDR4X RAM, and up to 256 GB of UFS2.1 storage.

In terms of battery life, the Nord harnesses its power from a 4115 mAh battery. The phone supports Warp Charge 30T fast charging capable of taking it from 0-to-70% is just 30 minutes. According to OnePlus, their smart charging technology can keep your phone cool even under heavy usage.

OnePlus Nord Wallpapers by Hampus Olsson

For as long as we can remember, the stock wallpapers for OnePlus phones have been sculpted by our favorite artist, sir Hampus Olsson. And this time is no different as the company approached him to mimic their vision of Nord in the form of beautiful abstract artworks.

According to Mr. Olsson, it was quite a challenging task due to this pandemic, as he needed to communicate remotely with the team all the way from his apartment in Spain. Nonetheless, the results we quite satisfactory both for him and OnePlus.

The wallpapers he designed for the phone are reminiscent of the North, its cold winter mornings, snowfalls, fresh air, and the people that inspired him to be what he is today. These OnePlus Nord wallpapers are a result of acrylic and oil paint experiments done by the artist and his father years ago, combined with 3D skills that Hampus acquired during all his years working with OnePlus.

Just take a glimpse at a video he created showcasing the wallpapers in all their glory.

His work is something we could never describe through words. The artworks he creates speak for themselves and we bet you’d want to apply them to your phone’s home screen. There are a total of two unique OnePlus Nord stock wallpapers, available in three different versions. You can download them in 4K (2160 x 4800 px) and 2K (1440 x 3168 px) resolutions, as well as the Never Settle versions for each.

Right below are the previews of the OnePlus Nord wallpapers that are available for download.
