Xiaomi is rolling out another stable update to its devices. You can now download MIUI 9.2 Global Stable ROM for all the supported Xiaomi and Redmi devices. We have also provided the instructions to help you manually install the Recovery and Fastboot ROM.

While manufacturers are heading towards Android Oreo, Xiaomi is still keeping its efforts to provide a more stable software experience to its current devices. The OEM is updating its Nougat-based MIUI 9 skin further to v9.2.x.x, fixing the major issues that users faced with the previous release. Along with that, the company is also now advancing towards Oreo and has announced MIUI 8.1.11 Global Beta program, all set to hit the Xiaomi Mi 6. MIUI 9.2 Global Stable Update – Changes and New Features

The new update is all about fixing the existing bugs and improving the overall software functionality for a better user experience. The rollout was officially announced on 12 Jan 2018 and is all set to reach the major devices including Redmi Note 5 Pro, Redmi 5 (Plus), Redmi Note 5A (Prime), Mi Mix 2, Redmi Y1 (Lite) and more.

  • Mi Mover: The feature now supports data migration restarting. During migrating data to the new phone, device hotspot connection will be restored automatically in case of interruption to complete the data migration.

  • Distance sensor dynamic calibration function, to ensure that black screen appears correctly.
  • App lock now supports hiding messages from selected apps.
  • Vibration no longer affects the features which reduce ringer volume when the phone is lifted or flipped to silence.
  • Adjusted time for tapping the Lock screen notifications.
  • Clock widget now supports multiple themes
  • Easily move app icons into a folder.
  • Add widgets to an empty spot with a single tap.
  • Themes prompt about connecting to the internet when it’s required.
  • Fix multiple image compression in Gallery app.
  • Reduced the number of push notifications when the user is signed out of Mi Account.
  • Received files are now sorted by time in Mi Drop.
  • Fixed issues with loading big GIFs in Mi Drop.
  • App updates are now supported.

The update majorly holds significant improvements to the Mi apps, along with the increased efficiency of the system.
