Comments

  1. they are extracted to same folder it is not C:/adb because theres no such thing. but I open command prompt and type adb devices it says adb is not recognized as an internal or external command operable program or batch file

    1. Did you open the CMD in the same folder where the ADB/Fastboot and OTA zip files are present?

In that folder, you will need to hold the SHIFT key and right-click on an empty space. Then select “Open PowerShell window here” or “Open command window here”.

    2. The error simply means that the command-line tool is not able to detect the ADB binaries. If you wish, you can contact me personally using the Facebook profile link above in the author box.

    1. You need to make sure that the OTA ZIP file is in the same directory as the ADB/Fastboot binaries. For example, if you have followed our tutorial how to setup ADB/Fastboot, then it should be in C:\adb.

  2. Just bought this new phone and find it a very nice device but it would be nice just to download new updates straight to Essential Ph1.some may not have a PC available and miss out on it.
    Kind regards,

    1. Hi Albert, the Beta will always be needed to be flashed using a PC. As for the official stable updates, you will directly get them on your phone over-the-air.
