Many OnePlus 6 users were reportedly experiencing from flickering issue on their display. The problem apparently only occurs when the “Adaptive Brightness” feature is turned on, and when the phone detects slight movements.
Users took the Internet to disclose the issue, which seems very common for all the OnePlus 6 users. Others suggest that the root of the problem is the battling of two brightness levels for control of the display. It is also most noticeable with a white background or any bright colour backgrounds. OnePlus has since then collected all the data and begin working out the problem. Fortunately, the issue isn’t related to hardware.
On Friday, the Chinese smartphone maker announced on their blog that it would start rolling out updates “soon” that would eventually fix the flickering issue. It will most likely come in a bundle with the August security patch update, which should arrive very soon.
The OnePlus 6 is the company’s latest flagship smartphone. It features 6.28-inch Full HD AMOLED display, Snapdragon 845, 6/8GB of RAM, and 64/128/256GB of expandable storage. The smartphone also sports two high-resolution cameras at the back (16MP+20MP), and another 16MP mounted on the front for selfies. The OnePlus 6 packs a decent 3,300mAh battery.
